The Opus sub-contract and “first off” inspection service can be highly cost effective. When a company’s in house verification is not acceptable to their customer Opus is able to offer a truly independent 3rd party verification. The Opus service extends to a wide range of products that require dimensional verification.
All equipment used by Opus is traceable to National Standards and upon completion of the required measurements a confidential report is submitted to the customer.
Our principal piece of equipment for inspection purposes is a CNC controlled co-ordinate measuring machine which has a 500mm x 700mm x 400mm capacaity and is equally at home inspecting a “one off” or a batch of components. Additionally we have access to a wide range of other equipment all of which is housed in the same temperature controlled environment as our UKAS laboratory.
